About the grooves
Original songwriting starting points, not copies of songs or definitive versions of entire musical traditions. All kits, including the acoustic-style kit, are synthesized rather than sampled from a drum kit. Choose a groove for its rhythm and a kit for its sound; 808 bass is a separate choice.
Every pattern spans two bars. BPM counts quarter notes in 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4; dotted quarters in 6/8 and 12/8. Swing alternates subdivision lengths. Humanization adds repeatable, small timing and velocity differences. Complexity adds or removes ornaments; your manual step edits take priority. Turnaround adds an ending to the second bar.
Your sketch, words, and favorites stay in this browser when storage is available. Save sketch exports them; old Rhythm sketches can still be opened. WAV exports contain the beat with a sound tail; recorded takes contain your microphone and beat together. Microphone access starts only when you press Record. Download takes before closing. Browser input latency can affect vocal timing. This is not a replacement for your DAW.
